One of North Carolina's most relaxed family beaches — golf-cart slow, wide on sand, and a short hop from historic Southport's waterfront shops and restaurants. Here's a little of what's nearby.

What a day looks like.

Sandbar days
Anchor up at the Point's sandbars, wade in the shallows, and let the day drift by.
Sunset & fishing

Make it an even better day.
Bolt any of these onto your charter — just tell us what you'd like when you reach out and we'll have it ready when you step aboard.
Catering & provisioning
Charcuterie boards, lunch spreads, fresh snacks, and drinks set up and chilled before you ever step aboard.
Stocked coolers
Ice, water, sodas, and your favorite drinks ready to go — just tell us what the crew likes.

Lily-pad mats, tubes, and loungers for drifting and lounging when you anchor up at the sandbar.
Tubes & towables
Hang on for a towable tube ride behind the boat — a guaranteed hit with the kids and the brave.

We only collect information you choose to give us. When you submit a booking or rental request or email us through the links on this site, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the dates and details of your requested stay or charter, and anything else you include in your message.
Like most websites, our host may also automatically log basic technical data such as your browser type, device, and general location for security and performance purposes. We do not use this to personally identify you.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and questions.

Terms of Use & Rental Terms
Last updated: June 16, 2026
These Terms govern your use of moosevillas.com and any inquiry, booking, charter, or rental you arrange with Moose Villas (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms. The specific, binding terms for any reservation — including rates, deposits, cancellation, and house or vessel rules — are provided to you in a separate rental or charter agreement at the time of booking, which controls if anything here conflicts with it.
About this website
This site provides information about The Salty Moose beach house, our boat charters, and our golf-cart rental, and a way to request them. Photos, descriptions, rates, and availability are provided in good faith and may change without notice. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of availability or a binding offer until we confirm your reservation in writing.
Inquiries and bookings
Until online booking is enabled, requests made through this site are inquiries, not confirmed reservations. A booking is only confirmed once we accept it and you receive written confirmation. When online booking and payments become available, they will be handled through a third-party booking and payment processor under its own terms.
The Salty Moose (beach house)
- The home is reserved for the number of guests stated in your confirmed reservation; occupancy limits, check-in/check-out times, and house rules are set out in your rental agreement.
- Guests are responsible for the property during their stay and for any damage beyond normal wear.
- Smoking, unauthorized events, and any illegal activity are not permitted.
Boat charters (bareboat)
Our vessels are offered as bareboat (demise) charters. This means:
- You charter the boat itself. A USCG-licensed captain is arranged and hired separately, and is paid directly by you. The captain is an independent operator, not our employee, and the captain’s fee is not part of any payment made to us.
- The owner does not operate the vessel and is not aboard during your charter; during the charter, control of the vessel rests with you and your chosen captain.
- You are responsible for using the vessel safely and lawfully, observing passenger limits and all applicable U.S. Coast Guard and state requirements.
- Charter details, deposits, fuel, security deposit, weather and cancellation policies, and conduct rules are set out in your separate charter agreement.
Golf-cart rental
- Drivers must be at least the minimum age required by law, hold a valid driver’s license, and operate the cart in compliance with all local ordinances and traffic laws.
- The cart may only be driven where permitted and within posted speed limits; no driving under the influence.
- You are responsible for the cart while it is in your possession and for any damage, fines, or violations that occur during your rental.
Add-ons and extras
Optional extras (such as provisioning, gear, or celebration setups) are arranged on request and subject to availability and any additional terms or charges quoted at the time.
Assumption of risk and limitation of liability
Boating, water activities, and operating a motor vehicle carry inherent risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume those risks for yourself and your guests, and our liability arising from your use of the property, vessels, cart, or this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the applicable booking. We are not responsible for the acts of independent third parties, including separately hired captains.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, follow the rules in your rental or charter agreement, and be responsible for your party’s conduct. You agree to reimburse us for losses caused by your or your guests’ misuse, damage, or violation of these Terms or any agreement.

The content on this site — text, photos, and design — belongs to Moose Villas and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
